I recently posted my application for a school social worker position. I've read that only certain DODD schools have social workers. What does their role typically encompass? I've worked as a school social worker for over 12 years on our Child Study Team, working mainly with special education students (evaluating for eligibility, creating IEPs, counseling, etc.,) I'm hoping my experience lines up with what the DODD position entails.

Also besides Guatanamo, does anyone know of any other locations that have social worker positions?

Thank you for your help!

Palmat Thank you for providing me with some insight into her role. I really can't find any information about what the responsibility scope of a DoDEA social worker. So at least I now have an idea of what the role would entail. Thank you!
