Does working stateside as part of DODea help with increased chance of being hired overseas, due to time in the DODea?
haha Many people think so for the obvious reasons (e.g. know the system/terminology, maybe make some personal connections, etc.).

Many other people have applied while teaching with DoDEA Americas and are still waiting for an offer or even serious action on their application.

HelpOthers It helps with your pay if you already have 10+ years of experience. The DoDEA experience is added to that, but if you continue in your non-DoDEA schools, those years will max out at 5 for DoDEA (US and Territories) and 10 for DoDEA (foreign countries).

It may help to have experience with the DoDEA jargon, culture, programs used, etc.

Teach In theory, it should. Being a permanent employee with DoDEA rates you higher on referral lists.
