As a DoDEA teacher? How many years ago?

Yes, as a DODEA teacher ending in 2016. A position in USA Jobs asks for a most recent performance appraisal. I'm assuming they want one from DODEA, or would they mean (or accept) one from my current job?

Unless it specifically mentions former DoDEA employees needing to provide their last DoDEA performance appraisal (or words to that effect) then your actual most recent one from your current job should be sufficient.

The performance appraisal is not required, it's just a 'nice to have'. In 2016, you either met or did not meet the standard. Now they've introduced a 5 point appraisal , where system exceptional employees can finally be recognized with a rating of 5 in various areas.
