I noticed some schools are hiring for principals in Japan. Would interviews occur under new principals, current principals, or by another administrator?

Cookie No, principal interviews don't affect teacher interviewed. Also, the post in Japan isn't due to an opening, it just to build up the applicant pool in case someone gets promoted or retires.

IsItFriday? Nothing would be paused. They hire in the order they hire. It's not as systematic as you might have supposed.

It's a long, paperwork intensive process, for the government to hire someone. Nobody wants to pause anything for any reason. Doing so would add nothing. And still,hiring can be anywhere from a one to a six month process.
