1) Will teaching at a DOD stateside school help me to get hired overseas in the long run?
2) I have 12 years of teaching experience. How many of those years will be counted towards the pay scale?
3) Do you get LQA or any assistance when teaching stateside?
Any and all information is appreciated.

Being stateside, your husband could get a job anywhere in the surrounding area. He wouldn't have to find a job on base. If he retires and just wants something part time, for some reason driving parts for like AutoZone or Napa is really popular to why retired people in my experience.

1. It might help. Many people are hired for DoDEA overseas after/while teaching for DoDEA Americas. It might not. Many people teaching for DoDEA Americas apply for overseas and never get an offer. I just want to say YES, it will totally help you get an overseas job. I waited three years to be hired by DoDEA. Ended up getting Guam, which is in that gray area between overseas and stateside (but is considered ddess because it's part of US).
