What is the category/rank for DODEA teachers when viewing LQA charts and housing eligibility? Some charts I see specifically state teachers, and others have ranks. And Conus housing has ranks + non-active duty option (those that allow housing for civilians...). I remember a while back it seemed like it was one of the "W" ranks if "teacher" wasn't an option??? Trying to reevaluate my options.

And I'll be more emphatic, the vast majority of DoDEA teachers who are eligible for LQA live off base, and yes, that statement includes Japan.

There's only a very narrow subset of teachers who find living on base to be superior. Off base housing is superior, and you have more freedom. On base housing is subject to lots of rules, a fish...See More
