I know there will still be referrals going out throughout the school year. I am just curious if zero referrals is typical? Are a majority of first time applying applicants getting no referrals? Just feeling a little bummed, I thought I would at least hit a list or two. Good thing I enjoy my current job :)
IsItFriday? Yes, zero referrals is typical.

If you think it through, it becomes fairly obvious that zero referrals is the typical experience.

TGIF I agree with IsItFriday. Zero referrals is the norm, especially given the large pool of applicants. If by some chance you are contacted, consider yourself lucky or blessed because it often takes quite some time (sometimes years) before applicants are contacted for the very first time.
