Social Studies

It's not my major, but if I have 30 credits in humanities, economics, and History courses is that enough to get the certs for middle and High School Social Studies or is there a specific course in "teaching" social Studies that is required? I am marked qualified for the computer certs and business but it still says pending on those. I would like to sign up for any needed courses asap.

Ida There a few courses you have to have. Generally the physical geography course is the one most people who didn't plan to be social studies teachers don't have. You also need 1 Us and one world course. If you look at the certificate requirements on Dodea's website it lists them.
