I have my first interview on Monday for Belgium.

The position would be for this year. I am currently employed, so this would be a sudden, chaotic, stressful move if I were offered.

Does anyone have advice about job security for next year?

I would hate to scramble to go through all of this to then not stay for next school year.

Also any advice in general about joining mid year?

I'm nervous about getting all the paperwork and moving details together in less than two months window.

haha Nothing is guaranteed. But, in general, once you are hired as a CONUS teacher, you are in. Even if the school closes, your position is excessed, etc., DoDEA will generally place you somewhere else.

Many people will love to be getting Europe for their first posting (or second, third, etc.).
