I submitted my application a week ago, and it's still pending. I know how busy the staff must be, but I'm wondering what a realistic time frame is for getting qualified. Weeks? Months? I went in with elementary 1-8, elementary gifted, ms English, ms social studies, and ms gifted. Also 5 years experience and a double master's along with lots of international experience. I'm gonna keep my fingers crossed and stay positive and hope that that's enough. If not, I'll just get more certs. I don't post often but want to thanks those who answered my few questions over the past 6 months. It's been a long journey just to get to this point. Cheers.
haha It varies wildly (days to many months). Past practice has also gone through spells where HR states they won't bother to qualify anyone unless/until they have an opening that matches a candidate's qualifications.

Slcjkl Thanks. I took your advice and checked with them about secondary social studies and English. Turns out I'm already qualified for social studies, and I only need 3 credits for English; I just signed up for an English class a few mins ago. haha No problem. Generally, the best idea is to apply and get your EAS processed as soon as possible. You can always go back and add a target date and/or ask for your EAS to be reevaluated.
