Hi everyone I have a question that I'm having a hard time understanding. My DH is a combat disabled veteran and I'm wondering if I'm able to use spousal preference on my application. He is employed by the federal government if that matters. Also I'm wondering if there are a lot of educators leaving or going to retire because of the pandemic. Thanks everyone and I'm loving this board and the info on it.
IsItFriday? You don't qualify for preference based on the information supplied. Your spouse is currently employed. Is there something you are leaving out, a particular reason you think you may qualify for a preference?

haha I believe the spousal/family preference would only apply if your husband was active duty or employed by DoDEA (but could be wrong).

LolaTeach If your spouse claims 100% disability, you can use the preference.

IsItFriday? Not if he's already fully employed. The spouse is a federal employee. Spouses can use vet's preference in some limited situations. This does not appear to be one of them.

Double check obviously.
