I am transitioning from an engineering and business career to a second career in teaching. I want to be fully qualified and attractive for DoDEA teaching positions. I will do a credential program in California and/or online and pursue a Math or Physics credential and could also teach Computer Science. What should I be doing to be more qualified as an applicant in 2022? I currently have a BS in engineering. Any insights and suggestions appreciated.

haha Principals generally place the highest value on recent, relevant experience in a K-12 setting. So, if you are going to be light on experience, try to maximize the numbers of certs/subject areas you could teach.
