How long after an interview, if you have your POC, references turned in does the "movement" take? The passports, movers, tickets, and the like take? Once arriving in the country of hire, is there someone who helps guide you through the processes? If I get hired in Korea, I would go a few days early and want to stay in a hotel to adjust to the time difference etc, is this allowable? Or do I have to go to the base right away? I get discounts on the Marriott hotels due to family working for them, and I would like to stay there. Are you able to get off post/base housing pretty quickly? And in places like Japan where you need sometimes 5Xs the rent to just move in, I know you are able to get advances on pay to help with this but does the DOD take care of this due to the customs around this in Japan?

Also, is it true that you can only work a maximum of 5 years overseas then have to work at a school on base back in the USA, or can you apply for another country...not sure how this wo...See More
