I am at a DoDEA school teaching subjects I am not certified nor trained to teach. In July 2025, DoDEA announced newly transferred RIF teachers faced suitability evaluations to keep their jobs. This situation led to severe mental distress. As a re-employed DoDEA annuitant, I am considering my options. Suggestions?

haha Sorry to hear about your troubles. Are you still provisional? If not, then it :should" take a fair amount of effort and paperwork to try and get rid of you. Things are very different lately and ultimately they can and do whatever they want, but if you can avoid giving a good case against you, you should be OK. Hang in there!
Dr. Ali Fant I am not provisional. I am permanent tenured. Told suitability evals trump other considerations since the 07/25/2025 EO 14356 implementation for DoDEA. I have a mental health Form WH-580-E prognosis from doctors to be on leave from teaching until 01/16/2026. Filing the WH-580-E means offices above me have to justify their own continuing suitability...See More
