TeachSome schools do require a waiver if you don't live in the area for your school, but no matter what, your child can attend DoDDS schools wherever you are stationed.
I'm not sure if this is the right forum, but I was wondering if it is possible to transfer from DDESS to DODDS or are they two separate entity and the transfer does not happen? Also, if you are made an offer, does the offer letter state what your benefits are? I can't seem to find the benefits, i.e, px commissary use in Puerto Rico.
TeachI have friends who waited years to get into DoDDS even though they were in DDESS. However, I was hired from DDESS for a job in Japan this year and it was the first I had applied. However, I had spent 3 years overseas in Okinawa as a local hire and I knew people throughout Japan which I am sure helped me to get an interview so quickly.
I have an interview for a SPED position at Ft. Bragg. I know the benefits for working overseas but I am not sure what the benefits are if I relocate to Ft Bragg. What about any stateside school?
What benefits or salary conditions do part time people ha...See MoreWe are going on my husband's orders. I am also an educator so I am hoping to find a job as well. I was contacted about a part time position. This is relieving because it will allow me to keep my hand in the field, but possibly allow time for helping my daughter with the transition.
What benefits or salary conditions do part time people have? Also, what are the chances I can still be considered for full time openings, or will I for sure be part time all year 1?
For those of you who are already planning the pack out, can you share a little info about that process. For example, do we pack everything up and they just come and pick up the boxes, or do they come and pack everything up? Starting to wonder if we should be collecting boxes and bubble wrap.
I have been reading posts on here for a while. I am hoping that it is true about your account is inactive, because I just got an email saying my account was marked inactive. Referred for 4, one interview and another scheduled. I hope the tentative offer comes soon. So much to do.
