I have an interview Wednesday for a preschool disabled position in Germany. I am super nervous and do not believe I will do fantastic with a phone interview. Anyone on here has any advice for the questions that may be asked for this position. Thanks in advance
DoDEA used to offer Space/Earth Science as a year long course of science study. it looks like it is no longer offered. Do you think it will come back with the new Career and College Ready Standards?
How long have others waited after they've applied to hear anything ...See MoreHi, I'm an elementary teacher and I submitted an application back in February for the 2017/2018 school year for several state side bases, as well as overseas . The application site says I'm qualified for everything I've applied for, but I haven't had a phone call or email.
How long have others waited after they've applied to hear anything or be interviewed? Should I have contacted the principals on my own?
hahaSorry to hear that. If you are interested in int'l schools also check International Schools Review. The reviews and forum on the paid side (like $30 per year) can be very helpful but so can the forum on the free side.

If you want to try to get ahead, I'd say do the Anti-Terrorism training. Use these directions to take it:
Visit https://jkodirect.jten.mil. Note: Scroll down to the bottom under JS-US007: Level I Antiterrorism Awareness Training and click on "Non-CAC users click here (i.e. Family Members, Dependents, Contractors w/o JKO Accounts.)

HelpOthersYou can upload most documents into EAS now or open an account in USAJobs and upload everything you think you might need. That way, you won't have to keep those documents with you. Having a cell phone signal and fully charged cell phone is the most important thing.
Hi all, I was wondering if any of the veterans could clear up how the post allowance works. Is it a percentage of your total taxable income or take home pay after taxes? And does the post allowance amount get taxed as income? Trying to figure out how much money actually makes it into my wallet each month for budgeting purposes. Thank you!
BettYep, I totally foresee lots more stress. Finally got the e-Qip sign in and finished that yesterday, now it's on to the gazillion other things I've got to catch up on. Same for you Oregonsip. but woo hoo progress on the process ... one step at a time.
Did any of you have issues getting the things done that were required in the paperwork? Did you all get the fancy eye exam and hearing tests? My doctor doesn't want to do an EKG because I've had no issues, but I'm pretty sure it is required. The paperwork is as clear as mud, and the help from HR is no better.
oregonslpTeacherMama I'm totally in the same boat...waiting to see how I do, but I have TERRIBLE hand eye coordination and I'm pretty sure my depth perception results will be very telling :)
