How do you screen for your GT program? I am coming to the end of my first year in this position, and I am not sure that the way we are screening is the most effective. I'm looking for ideas about how you decide which students are tested as well as what testing materials you use.

el ed State Department of Education sets standards in my state. Gifted teachers are not involved in testing/screening process. District psychometrist does all testing.

Teacher referrals, minimum 90th percentile on state standardized group achievement test, minimum score required on approved individual achievement test.
