My two gifted classes are really sharp. They're gonna pose a real challenge for me. Not a complaint. No. It's just that before this, I could never really push my classes because they always mixed special ed kids in with the higher ability students and if I tried to do much more than the usual, the lower ability kids couldn't stay with us and would start acting up.

Thus far, my gifted kids have breezed right through whatever I've tossed at them. Got ratchet things up a bit and soon. I am determined they will have the best year they've ever had.

Stacy 7 NC I did some quick searches on hetero vs homogeneous grouping and found that the way that the "research" was written up was VERY biased and full of opinion that was unsupported by actual data. On the one hand, some of the articles stated that the subject is among the MOST studied, on the other hand the studies that I read seemed anecdotal.

D Thanks! Do post if you ever find out. Poltics here is going the other way. IB cancelled last year, AP this year. Honors will be next.
