I'm working on the description of student need table. Fished the document. What do they want from me???????? It's my last thing to upload. Does "description of Student need" mean a quote from an essay/form? What do they mean by "evidence"? I really just want to submit....
I've included this board in the beta test for the new chatboard - you can still start a thread as a guest, but to comment on another person's post, you must be logged in. Many new features, so if you haven't registered yet, now's a good time to grab up your choice user name....
I only wrote a paragraph to describe my student writing samples, and I still have half of the page to fill in. I don't know what else to write, but I feel like it's a mistake to leave so much blank space. Is this a place to describe the instruction leading up to the assignment, or the reasons why I assigned that writing prompt? I feel like I already covered that in the written commentary.
assessment material onto a single 8.5" × 11...See MoreMy teacher-made formative assessment is on Google Slides. Can I print two handouts with four slides on each handout as my evidence? It is legible without magnification. I'm concerned because in the directions it states, "Do not reduce full-sized pages of assessment materials to fit more than one
assessment material onto a single 8.5" × 11" page." It also states, "If materials that are important for assessors to see are impractical to submit (e.g., slide projections, writing on a chalkboard or whiteboard, software, three-dimensional objects, video or audio recordings, multi-dimensional product), submit a digitized drawing, image, or photograph of adequate size to be visible without magnification or a description of the materials. If you submit a description, it must be typed in double-spaced 11-point Arial
font with 1" margins on all sides. The images or description will count toward your page total."

Also if I had students complete an online test, for the work samples, would that just be their score sheet data? That is only 2 pages, and they say they can have up to 10-20 pages.
This section is so vague I just don't know what to do with it....
So- I signed up for C1,2 and 3 last year, but on a 2 year cycle. Only have a voucher for C4. The one for C3 from last year won't work! How hard is it to get another voucher for C3. They can see I didn't submit it last year. I'm worried! It took them 3 weeks to answer a ? About C4. How long will it take to get a new voucher code!? Help!!
I was not aware that you could purchase components a year in advance. I think you can only purchase components for the current year. If you look back and your score shows a 'no score' you might be out of luck.
Yes I signed up to do component 2 last year, but I was not able to submit it. I had to re-purchase this year (but unfortunately the deadline has already passed to sign up).
This may be a dumb question, but what type of information should be included for this question for Component 3: "Provide a brief overview of your entire entry."

If you look on the National Board boards at proteacher.com, NBCoach has answered this several times. She gives some sentence stems to start your thinking.

No it's just another message board but it's more active than this one and NBCoach is a CSP
