I am struggling with question 1 (Knowledge of students) What & who were the sources for the information that you gathered? where it talks about what guided you in selecting those particular sources of information? Why were those sources appropriate, etc.
What are they actually trying to ask me? I am trying to break it down. My group is obviously my students. Sources of information? I am not sure what they are referring to in this question. Do they mean parents, past teachers, peers, etc? Also what information do they mean? For example, if a student has ADHD who did I seek out to help me?
Then what are the trends you identified from the information you gathered for multiple sources? What trends? I feel these questions are so vague that I feel like I am missing something.
i am wondering if the video i plan to use is ok. it has students in several learning situations. 3 groups are playing a card game where they are each finding the mean of a set of cards. Each group is tiered, meaning they are working on a different division skill (rounding to whole number, turning remaimders into decimals, and the other group practicing larger numbers. A fourth group is with me using Skittles to find the mean of each color. The goal here is to practice division and fimding mean. The high group is on their own watching a screencast i made that explains how to find the missing value when given the mean. All are on task, and engaged. The question I am concerned about is that 3 groups are playing a game, another is watching a video lesson, and the fifth is with me as i coach them through the activity, giving feedback as needed at the table. i get up and walk around and check in several tomes with each group and student, amd all are okay and I give some feedback, bit nobody really needs help and I am not soing a whole lot of teaching. Would this be an appropriate video to use? As I am just really floating around and facilitating the small group I am with. Thanks.

Having a hard time getting started with Comp 3. What is everyone using to videotape? IPad, camcorder? Any special types of mics? Using a tripod or having someone do the videotaping?
I am retaking one part of my component 1, its the analyzing student reading. Does anyone have suggestions, this one has been my lowest score and I really want to bump it up.
