I'm finalizing my work (read: completely redoing and starting from scratch because I don't love what I did before) this weekend before uploading. I want to make sure I'm thinking correctly about editing my video. It says I can cut out the non-instructional events (fire drill, lunch break, classroom, announcement, etc.) and classroom transitions (moving from whole class to small group, from one small group setting to another, from classroom to lab, etc.)... Here are the two edits I would like to make and I want to hear from others if they agree these fit with the criteria:
Edit #1 - Cut out the time my kids are cutting out their food web parts (~ 3 minutes) -- keep in the directions and the creation of the food web, but cut the actual cutting non-instructional time
Edit #2 - After the kids created food webs, they walked around and looked at other people's. Then I passed out organism cards (from a separate lesson) and they stood up and transitioned to a full body activity. I'd like to cut this transition of me passing out the cards (no directions are given) out. It's about 2 minutes in length. I will go back to it when I am giving directions for the next section. This is transition from small group to whole group. Thoughts?
Really? Thank you so much - guess I'll just start the video at a different point so as to not waste time on those parts! Do you mind sharing what specifically they said to you, if that's not against some rules?

Seems like a great lesson! The second edit sounds legit - I'm not sure about the first. I almost did what you did - I filmed all last week. It's never good enough! ahhhhh..... Good luck!
I've been hunting the National Board website to find the downloadable forms. They are in there somewhere, but I can't seem to locate them. I would be grateful if someone could tell me where. Thanks!

it consists of 4 PGE's - 3 written pages each and 2 work samples for each PGE.
When submitting, I need to merge the PDF's. Do I merge the samples of products behind it's PGE, If so, how do I number the pages? write page numbers on the sample of Products number 1-5, 1- 5, 1-5 or do I number 1-20 for the entire component as it will be one upload Thanks!
For the written commentary on Component 2 under the section for Instructional Context am I supposed to include the info for both students' classes on one page? That seems impossible since my 4 samples come from two completely different classes.
I am a renewal and for component 3 did work samples as opposed to video. Therefore did not have to do a layout form for this component. However it will not let me submit without all 10 areas being read to submit. what do I out in this file if no layout form was needed?

In my packet, I have these things separated. Is this incorrect? I have the response form completed with my ID number and appropriate check marks to identify the student and work sample but nothing else on that page. The next page is the assignment/prompt given. Was I supposed to format my prompt onto that page?

Should...See MoreI am a renewal NBCT, pushed the submit button for component 2 video last evening, the process was completed
However, I then selected Review and the screen has been "downloading" since last evening (spinning wheel) and states, "This may take a while." My video is in the correct format and under the 500 mg
Here are the categories for the uploading page. Can someone help he decipher what each category is asking for. I am confused Do they not want the 20 pages of student material formatted into one file...? Here are the categories.

Part B: Written Commentary
Part C: Assignment/Prompt #1 Packet Part D: Assignment/Prompt #1 Student Responses Part E: Assignment/Prompt #2 Packet
