AYA Chemistry - Comp 4

Hello!

After taking a few months off and having gotten my scores for Comps 1, 2, & 3, I am now very motivated to push through the last component towards certification! I'm in the beginning stages and, so far, I have read through the comp instructions, the submission guide, have chosen my student population, and have started doing the basic research for the group that I chose - but I can't really figure out what the problem that I should address is and how I can relate that to my community, the science content and the PD that I have done for the last year or so... My idea was to address deficiencies in students to analyze data and to design 3 formative assessment and then test for growth by analyzing their summative assessment for that same unit, but how would I identify that particular deficiency with school records, or councilors, or through a parent survey?
