I am working on Component 4. For my Student Need, I have students who really struggle with reading and writing skills, who also do poorly in music. I am trying to meet this need so students are able to meet learning goals in music without relying on reading and writing. For my Professional Need, I need to figure out how to assess these students so their assessments do not do a disservice to the students who struggle with reading and writing, and help them meet their learning goals. How do I collect evidence and show student impact without the two being exactly the same? Any ideas?
