In order to figure out the student need, I used an initial writing prompt to gather insight about my students' writing strengths and needs. Would this be an appropriate response (I have other sources listed and described, but i wasn't sure about this specific one):

Q. Describe the information about the group of students you collected from multiple sources and how you collected it.

A. Initial writing assignment: Students completed a written response to the posed question, "Why are Greek gods and goddesses given characteristics that are considered strengths and/or weaknesses?" This assignment gave me insight to my students' writing strengths and needs.

Or seen it on tv? Do the lawyers mention something important once, or do they come back to it over and over and over?

Look at your rubric. Which way will be stron...See More
