I'm REALLY curious -- -- how did the students access the AR program at home?
Specifically.

I am a Title I teacher and I am trying to keep my individual classes motivated to read and get their required AR points! I want some suggestions on rewards to be given WEEKLY for my students if they reach a determined point value.
Most people now have the web-based Renaissance Enterprise. The web-based version can be accessed from ANY computer with internet access. I worked in it earlier today from my home computer.
If you do not want students to test outside of school hours, you change the settings. Otherwise, they can test any time.
She mentioned that she gets tests o...See MoreCan someone please tell me how to find the group that allows teachers to share tests they make? This is my first time teaching at an intermediate school (grades 5-6), and the teacher who retired in December left me a lot of notes about how to use the AR program. (I can't get to a training until summer.)
She mentioned that she gets tests online for free from Charlotte's Archive, and she mentioned this site, too. I have had no luck finding the first one, and I can't find anything about it on here either. I only find a pay site called Edu-Web and a free site called AR4MiddleSchool. None of the other teachers know about the site. The teacher who retired got their tests for them, and she hasn't replied to my email yet.
I did find an older post here about free test-sharing sites. However, it referenced an older thread that is no longer visible, and I can't seem to find a way to get to the older posts. I tried emailing the person who seemed to have the information, but I only got back a message saying that she no longer answered emails from this board.
You ...See MoreCharlotte's Archive is part of the Accererated Reading discussion group at Yahoo! Groups. It's a test bank.

However, the only way to get to the group is by direct admission by the group owner. You can only contact her by [email removed].
The middle school site is here.

You can apply for membership on that group, but you have to reply to an email you get and be willing to verify that you are indeed a teacher before you will get access to the files and messages. Sometimes the members there are also on the lower-level site, and they can get the lower level tests for you if they aren't too busy.
There is a high school group as well, but you probably don't need that one. If you do, the middle school site owner can get you in touch with the owner of the other group.
