The One Voice Institute of Elemental ...See MoreEveryone, if you are an educator who can clearly identify the issues we face in education, ready to stand up, be counted, and actively speak out and raise our voice for the changes we all KNOW must be made - there is a movement makeing its way across the country you should know about ([link removed]).
The One Voice Institute of Elemental Ethics and Education is an organization with a mission: to facilitate positive, critical change in educational processes and policies in 2008 and beyond.
The strategy at the heart of all activities and events hosted by The One Voice Institute of Elemental Ethics and Education is three-fold:
The first goal is to support and amplify the voices of educators, to gather useful information gleaned from their varied experience, and to organize and publish their suggested resolutions to problems plaguing academic systems.
Secondly, the organization is dedicated to the publication and dissemination of practical solutions and steps authored by the experts into the hands of the political, government, and business leaders to educate those that will invariably influence the future of learning in the United States and throughout the world.
Finally, The One Voice Institute of Elemental Ethics and Education will make every effort to raise the consciousness of its audience with regard to the positions, philosophies, perspectives, and track records of political candidates running for office with regard to issues of education.

I am interested in learning about existing policies that support the development of social-emotional intelligence/life skills/providing students with the tools to make effective, positive, healthy choices and preventing riskier ones. If you know of any policies that exist or have a similar interest I would love to hear from you!
I need your help to learn about how ALL teachers feel about their ability to teach English language learners in their classroom. You do NOT have to be an ELL/ESL teacher to participate. My hope is that with these results we can improve training for teaching these students in the future. For more information and the survey url, please see below.
My name is Megan Strawsine and I am a graduate student in the School Psychology program at the University of Missouri. I am in the process of collecting data for a study I am leading, advised by Dr. Lisa Flores. If you are a mainstream teacher, pre-service teacher in the United States and at least 18 years old, or post-secondary educator (e.g., University professor, teaching assistant) I am requesting your help by completing an online survey.
The project, Teaching English Language Learners Survey (TELLS): Scale development and validation, will create a formal way to measure how mainstream teachers feel about teaching students whose primary language is not English. Results of this research could lead to great benefits such as improved teacher preparation programs and professional development for teaching English Language Learners in the mainstream classroom.
The offer of an incentive of a $20 gift card to Barnes & Noble will be given to five, randomly selected respondents who have completed the survey. This survey will take approximately 20 minutes to complete. Your participation is completely voluntary and anonymous. Although unlikely, some questions may make you feel uncomfortable. You may stop participating at any time. You may skip or decide not to answer any questions that make you feel uncomfortable.
Your responses are important and we hope that you will agree to participate. However, you are under no obligation to participate if you so choose. If you have questions regarding your rights as a research participant, contact the Campus Institutional Review Board at the University of Missouri-Columbia at (573) 882-9585.
If you are a mainstream teacher, college level educator, or pre-service teacher (student teaching within the next year) you can participate by following the link provided below.
If I get everything/documentations together & was wondering if they work with people or treat people like they are idots, (wasn't my fault that I was an abused child) Most people have no idea that I have any type of disability but I know that without accommodations I would not be successful, (i.e. ADD, plus)

I don't exactly what you are asking here. From the reading, I know that you have ADD. I also know that you were abused as a child. What exactly are you asking?
