Dear ******,
I am a newly certified teacher, with an initial
certificate to be issued in September. The initial
teaching certifications require that a new graduate become
employed immediately, with a fulltime position, and
complete 3 years of teaching, while attending graduate
school. The new teachers have 3 years to complete this.

Teaching jobs are difficult to secure and often require a
year or two of substituting in the district before being
offered a position. Substituting is a great way for new
teacher to become exposed to many teaching styles and
learn classroom management. Sometimes a new teacher can
take a part-time teaching position until a fulltime
