On 6/18/09, Jan wrote: > Thanks fo...See MoreYou should be able to delete the old version without losing anything unless you stored documents in a folder of the iWorks. Look in the old iWorks folder and see if you have anything it there like that and if you don't, then you can trash it. 09 will be able to open anything that was created with 08.

Clark Howard, financial guru mentioned that Mac users can sign up for Boxee tv (paying nothing) and get tv coverage with no cable... or satellite. What do you know about this... and is it legit?
What is the best/easiest word processing program? I'm used to using MS Word for the PC but can't easily find the various buttons on MS for mac (2004). Things like the margins, changing fonts, etc. don't have those nice buttons on the screen like they do on the PC. Is there a way around that?

There are very few posts for the last couple of weeks. I posted a question about 10 days ago and since then there seems to be only 5 or 6 posts! Maybe everyone is just on vacations! If so...have fun!

You might also use your Public folder for their work in progress and your drop box for finished files. In your public folder you could have folders for each class or student (however you prefer) to keep things organized.
Do you have a list of students with login and pass words and permissions/applications set up in Server Admin? If not that's where you start.

I took what I thought was my perfectly good emac to my classroom for the students to use. I turned it on (or tried to) and all there is is a black screen, no sound, and the light on the front stays yellow. What could be wrong?

KSI use an Epson R340 printer that prints directly on inkjet-printable cds and dvds. There is a software that I use (DiskLabel) that really works well, reads playlists from iTunes, etc. Tried using the stick-on paper labels a few years ago-bad results so went with what I have now. Hope this helps
Help me figure out how to install Adobe photoshop Elements 2002 and Rosetta Stone 2008. I keep getting invalid number errors. Went to their web sites but couldn't find any help.

Thanks for all the help Neal. It is appreciated.

I'm currently running 10.3.9 on a PowerBook G4 with a 1.33 GHz processor & 640 MB of RAM. I know that's SUPPOSED to be enough to run Leopard, but does it work effectively with that amount of RAM?
