I removed the OS10 disk and put in the aol CD and the icon appears but it never lets me do anything. I have managed to keep the icon in the dock now but it is no help. Do you understand what I am saying?
Here I thought I would have it up and ready to go for Christmas instead of using my 8 year old computer.
I appreciate your help on this. Thank you in advance.
Y...See MoreAFAIK you want/need AOL® Desktop for Mac 1.5.
If your old machine was working reconnect it to download AOL® Desktop for Mac 1.5see link below.
It's 12+MB so if you have a jump/thumb/keychain drive it should fit, or burn it to a CD or use Target Mode to transfer it to your new box and run it.
Good Luck, N.

I had the former version of FlipVideo. I had no problem inserting it in the USB port on my MacBook. The new FlipVideo HD will not fit. We tried it on my friend's Dell last night, also. It would not go in. Are any of you having problems with your new FlipVideo HDs?

Does anyone use Pixie by Tech4Learning? I've seen demos and it seems to combine KidPix and Kidspiration. I'd love to add it to our software. Just don't have lots of funds and wondered what people thought of it.

Do you have enough Free HD space? Keep at least 20% of your total free for memory swap files - e.g. 80GB drive should always have at least 16GB FREE!
Can you choose a larger screen resolution to grab/move the app.
Deleting the .plist file (preferences) can solve some menu/placement problems.
From iMovie->Help:
Rearranging the iMovie window to optimize workspace You can optimize the iMovie workspace by rearranging or resizing some elements. Try different combinations of elements to find the best arrangement for your working style.
To optimize the iMovie workspace, do any of the following:
◼ Select Window > “Swap Events and Projects” or click the Swap button to exchange the screen space used for projects and for Events.
◼ Click the Show/Hide Projects button to expand or shrink the space available for viewing project clips.
◼ Click the Show/Hide Events button to expand or shrink the space available for viewing source video clips.
◼ Click the Show/Hide Filter Keywords button to further expand or shrink the space available for viewing source video clips.
◼ Change the size of the iMovie viewer (the area in the iMovie window where the video plays).
Changing the size of the viewer ► To change the viewer size, do one of the following:
◼ Choose Window > Viewer > [size].
◼ Drag the horizontal toolbar in the middle of the iMovie window.
Dragging it to the top of the window gives you the entire space for working with the source video or project filmstrips.
Good Luck, N.

Sounds like you need a portable field recorder. Check the supplied link for some choices. Not sure what your budget is so I linked to the consumer grade ones.
Christy HottThanks, Greg. I'll check that link. We could probably go to $150-$200, but, of course, is less cost can do the job, that's better.
