Does anyone have ideas for using ipads in the classroom (4th grade)? I need suggestions of things you cannot do on a laptop, but could do using an ipad.

CarlI work at a high school, so I'm not sure what level you are at. I use Macs to teach a web design course, using Dreeamweaver and Photoshop. I also like BSD nearly as much as pure LInux, so we do use the CLI alot for a basic python programming class. I'm working with the powers that be to start teaching a basic IOS development course next year.
I have a macbook running leopard. For some reason the mouse has started freezing and the cursor is up near the apple each time I restart it. I can't figure out what to do. Any suggestions?

One way to see if this is hardware or software related would be to Shif-boot (hold shift key down after pressing start button until the spinning sundial appears) you'll be in SAFE BOOT which disables most auto launched starup applications. If the freeze still occurs it might be memory, Hard Drive or other hardware.
IF IT DOES NOT it pretty well points to some software launching at start up(System Preferences->Accounts->Log In Items to see/remove or disable application, Or a corrupt permission, preference, font can also cause wonky hangs.
You could try launching Microsoft AutoUpdate to see if it is the culprit, if there are updates run them. Reboot normal see if hang occurs. Try launching net print see if hang occurs.
CHANGE ONE THING AT A TIME to try to locate the culprit.
Good luck,
N
