OK, I haven't had a chance to try another keyboard yet. i cleaned all the keys under them and replaced them. I also discovered if I hit the left edge of the shift key, sometimes it makes a capital letter. What else can I do as it isn't consistent --the w in this sentence worked but the i did not.
