I was just offered a job to teach 1st grade. The teacher for this class Retired and now they have a long term sub. So, they've been through a lot! I'm very excited! I taught k-4 resource 2 years ago and lived it, but left Due to a family illness after 3 months (it was my first year teaching). Now I'm getting another chance. I have tons of ideas for classroom management and for reading/literacy. I student taught in 1st grade 6 yrs ago and remember it like it was yesterday. It was an amazing experience. I'll probably start in 2 weeks. I know your first year teaching is a lot of work and I really want to find a balance with everything. I might be tutoring 2x week. I don't want to avoid bringing work home with me which I know is probably impossible. I could use some tips and ideas on anything to help get through the rest of the year. Thanks in advance!
