AIR/State Testing Time Fillers?

In a little less than two weeks my students will be taking the AIR test (our state exam). On the second day students will have shortened classes (20 minutes) in the morning, which affects two of my classes and then my last class will be unaffected (so 43 minutes). i don't want them to take the test just to come in to work on a bunch of reading (I'm in a SPED English class), as the exam will have them read four articles. What are some good fillers/activities to do? I'm with 9th and 10th graders and our current unit is poetry/Romeo and Juliet.
