Bradley: "Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie"--someone on Teachers.net suggested this one. Such a sweet clever teen detective . . . I just couldn't stop reading this.
Trigiani: "Very Valentine" Think "Big Stone Gap" in Manhattan. A very predictable sweet story that is the first of a trilogy.
Wilder Kids: I Really Want To Go To College !! Is a book that inspires African American and Hispanic kids to finish high school and college. Go to AuthorHouse.com click on the bookstore then click on children's non-fiction and place the title and /or author's name Ann Shannon. A great book for the class library.
I just finished reading this book and really loved it on several levels. I'm already wondering who will be cast in the various roles for the movie. Surely there will be a movie.
Educ8erI've had that book on request at the library for two months! I've heard it's great.
