Im not feeling full fulfilled in my current position, cant use my education or interest in technology...not counting Director...what is the best position to seek? I'm looking for higher pay and benefits as well.
I have tried sitting them at the table reading a book while I sing happy and u know it. I have tried coloring, I have tried shaving cream, play dough, everything but every single time one kid desides he wants to be a ninja while the other is trying to jump off the table..... I also have the biter who has biten a kid every single day for the past month...... I have done everything to try and stop it! But she is sneaky I have a hold of her hand and a kid walks by she latches on.... Yup I need some ideas... Thinking about calling it quits due to the director treating me aweful bc of this.. Please forgive me of the post if it kind of runs together but I'm typing this from my phone because I am so worn out from entertaining these kiddos :) I'm not allowed to let them free play because then my room looks wild...

I do not understand how she can just say you need to handle the class better, ummmm she the director she needs to mentor you and help you if you need it. I good director would not just demand you handle it they should help you by making suggestions etc... They show watch you in action and give you constructive criticism on how to handle situations better. How can we learn if someone does not show us, are we supposed to automatically know these things? Tell her you really need help perhaps the floater can come into your room during changing diaper time. Also I would suggest sitting them at table with a snack (at the 10:00 time) perhaps, then put on some music cd for then to sing along with while at the table, give them some musical instruments. If you sit them down at the table each time you change diapers I think you might need to do a different activity each time so they do not get bored. Can you change diapers without sitting them at table? Wouldn't it be easier to change diapers periodically instead of all 9 at one specific time? Every 2 hours seems extreme for 18mths to 23mth olds? The director should take you class over for one day and see how it is, but I am guessing that is not going to happen. Anyway make a plea to her that you are really trying but nothing is helping can she give you some advice or watch your class with you to see where you are going wrong and how she can help? I think once she sees how hard it is she might give you help at least during changing times.
