I'm a soon go be new teacher in 2011. I've been raised and trained on PC. I'm now shadowing an 8th grade class for Experience hours and the school is all Macs.... North central PA. What are the %s of districts that run Macs to PCs?? Fluent with PC, not even close on MAC. what to do?
Has anyone faced a similar dilemma, and have suggestions? I know I can change later in the process, but they charge for every sneeze you make, and I'd like to get it right from the start. Thanks

Does anyone teach robotics? If so, do you teach it as part of your curriculum or as an after school program? What types of activities do your students engage in?
One student at a time is the player. If student knows answer to question, the system can record the "raised hand" so that that student gets to answer it. Student can answer verbally or visually and having a class view of each one would be nice.
If you know wher I can find such a system or even an idea of where to look, I would appreciate you letting me know.
opFormat came out all wrong. Pictures did not copy paste. The documents (multiple files) in question are dealing with hs math - lots of pics of coordinate grids, graphs, snapshots of graphing calculators, etc. Could it be that the pdf file was written and saved with the latest version of adobe (9 something) and my version is still 8 something?
I am the computer teacher at my school and currently I have 25 XP computers, and only 10 work. People come into my classroom and steal the mouse of the computers, afterschool. The school has just cut off my internet for the last month, and they expect me to teach. What should I do???
Will school end soon? Will your computers be repaired during your break? Will you get your Internet access back?

A week or so I had this crazy idea while thinking about what kind of things I would like to do at the beginning of next year, when I’ll be teaching Spanish I and Spanish II at the high school level. I thought it would be cool to create an interactive PowerPoint Presentation on the Spanish alphabet WHILE teaching students phonetic awareness for when they read in Spanish. In doing so, I thought it would be great to incorporate the interactive clips, images and sounds from the University of Iowa’s interactive Spanish phonetics webpage: [link removed].
Does anyone know how to copy the interactive images? I figured out how to copy the clips using RealPlayer’s Download tab.
I also don’t know how to create PowerPoints where they’re interactive (i.e., you click on certain boxes or words to be taken to a particular PPT slide or whatever). Any help with that?
If and when I’m successful at creating the PowerPoint, I’d love to share it with all who are interested.
