Hi guys, i am a spanish teacher but in the uncertain job climate i was thinking about alternative certifications to bolster my resume.

i have long been interested in ESL but have not been able to take advantage of classes etc. around my city. i was looking at some online esl certification courses. has anyone on here taken courses online and been able to secure a position? please advise. thanks!

This might not be the exact thing that you are looking for because you might be just looking a some sort of a class that is a few hours and that offers you some sort of a certificate. Dave The online ESL certifications can be helpful if your looking to work in Asia and all you have is a B.A. degree. Youd be better (and might be easier) if you can get a state certification or endorsement added to your current teacher certification. if not the Cambridge ESL certificate is the way to go.
