Hi there. I'd like to start marketing myself as a private language arts and ESL tutor (grades 4-12) and I was hoping someone could fill me in on exactly what is involved in being a tutor. Do they just help students with lessons they're having trouble with in school and with homework? Or do they also plan their own lessons, and if so, how do they procure materials for what each student needs to work on? I have my state certification to teach English & ESL along with classroom experience.
