Type 10 ENL in Illinois
by ENL Teacher looking for a job

I have an IL type 10 ENL with Bilingual Spanish endorsed. So that enables me to teach ESL/ELL k-12 according to the ISBE website, yet school districts/ principals are still looking for 03 with ESL/Bilingual endorsement. When I spoke with the Regional Office, I was told since it's a newer type, districts might not be aware or all its entitlements. Okk and?? Maybe sending out constant memos or more media exposure would help make this certificate hold its place and value. Any comments or ideas you out there might have?
