My school is in Year 3 of RTI implementation. Now that our SPED teachers are working with mixed intervention groups o IEP and non-IEP students, I have been asked to take some non-ELLs into my intervention groups. I have hesitated to do this because of concerns about whether I'll run afoul of Title III regulations (I should mention that these students have IEPs for language services) and also because of the general rules of who qualifies for ELL services (home language, proficiency testing, parental permission, etc.). Would appreciate feedback on this!
