I have been teaching elementary school for a total of 10 years.........the past 5 years in grades K,1, and 2. I am looking for some resumes to help me as I update my own. If you'd care to share yours that helped you land a teaching position, I would truly appreciate seeing it. Thanks much.
I am using the inquiry method this year to help my 2nd grade LD students learn some of the phonics and language rules. I am working on the vowel rules for CVC and 4 letter words with the ending of VCV (E AT THE END OF WORDS SPECIFICALLY). cAN anyone help? I am wondering exactly how to start? Do I start with 3 and 4 letter words like cut and cute. And give several of these examples or with a list of 3 letter words (cvc)AND a list of 4 or 5 letter words ending with e(VCV)? Or just a list of 3 letter words and let them discover the rule for most CVC words and then do a list of 4-5 letter with the VCV rule? Please Help
You start with cvc words, then move to ccvc, cvcc, cvce.

We are doing a review of this right now. I had several students who were having problems in spelling with them. I put 3 cvc words on the end and 3 cvc-e words below them, like hop hope
ect....I asked them what each row has in common. We also did a word sort.
Hi - just wanted to say someone over at the webauthors board keeps cluttering up the board with a LOT of "test" messages to the point where it has become quite annoying and I was wondering if you could just delete those posts, thank's, megan
I have just played silent ball with my tutor group who have been very noisy and getting out of hand. They played (under threat of writing lines if they didn't play properly!) They loved it and wanted to play again! Thankyou teacher.net

Would you please remove the post from Books and Literature Lord of the Rings 1/20/04 JSwingley This isn't my posting. I am sure it happens but this really has upset me. I don't use that kind of language. I am really a very positive type of person. JS
I don't understand why Teachers Net allows this to happen. I no longer post my real name or valid email address here because anyone can pose as me in a post, and I've seen it happen to others. With all of the bulletin board programs that use email and login authentication measures, it's surprising that Teachers Net continues to use this board format.
Have you ever looked at the phpBB boards? They're open source and free to use. They require user authentication and offer so much more functionality than the type of board format offered by Teachers Net.
