IMO, the placement of the librarians chatboard in the English center indicates a very outdated, stereotypical view of the role of the school librarian. The typical focus of today's librarian (library media specialist) is interdisciplinary. It's not just books and literature; there is an emphasis on technology integration.
I wonder if the (mis)placement contributes to the lack of activity on the board--indicated by the presence of posts dated 1999 still on the board. Obviously, school LMS's have not embraced the forum. My suggestion is that the forum be moved to the "Interest Groups" category.
