I would love to see a new board for teachers of native or
Heritage speakers. I teach Spanish as a foreign language,
but I have a lot of native Spanish-speakers in my
classes. A lot of Spanish teachers are facing this, and
it is difficult to always know what to do. Therefore, it
would be beneficial for us to have a chatboard to post for
ideas. Thanks for your consideration.

Spanish for native/heritage speakers is a very different
topic than Spanish as a foreign language. Many of us are
teaching native speakers in our regular classes and/or whole
classes of native speakers (I do both). I would love to see
this board become real!

Is anyone here teaching Spanish for heritage speakers at the middle
school level? Do you have a written curriculum? Does your high school
have a written curriculum for heritage speakers? Does anyone know of
a school district that does?

Thanks,
Lily
