I am looking for a research based rational for why it is
not effective to use of the traditional Round Robin
technique of student reading during Guided Reading. Many
teachers continue to use this technique during their guided
reading groups and I would like to help them understand why
this is not the most effective method of reading
instruction. Is there research (other than the National
Reading Panel) that gives strong evidence why Round Robin
Reading instruction is not appropriate during Guided
Reading time. Your response is appreciated.
