We are to take weekly Running Records and record and graph the level. The problem is that the accuracy level is way above the comprehension level. The students are reading on Level W-but comprehension is Level S. What do you do about comprehension? Do you ask generic comprehension questions? Ask for a retelling? When are the teachers supposed to find time during the too busy day to fit this in? Does anyone have an answer to this? The teachers give the Fountas?Pinnell Benchmark Assessment System three times a year. But now we need to do the additional weekly ones.
