Hello everyone! This year I will be teaching fifth grade after having taught first for a few years. I want to give my students timed multiplication tests, but I'm not sure what an appropriate benchmark would be. I was thinking they should be able to solve 50 problems in 1 minute with 80% accuracy in order to pass. Would any of you be willing to share your requirements? Thanks!

McTeacher My 5th graders don't know their times tables as good as they neet to or think they do. I found a fun game to play with them where they get the practice they need and its actually fun. It's free on the site below.

TLC 3seconds per fact = 100 facts in 5 minutes with 100% accuracy. IMHO 50 facts in one minute is not enough time for students to write the answers.
