Hi, I have a question about how you deal with math tests. Do you inform parents of upcoming math tests? I've found that if students just take the test as a natural outgrowth of our work on a chapter, it goes well UNLESS a student does poorly, then there might be a parental questions like, "Why didn't we know there was a math test?" Do you just seemlessly slip the test in at the end of a chapter (after class review) or do you make a bigger deal of it and send parents advanced notification and give student study time at home?
ny/5 I write it on the homework board for the students to copy into their student planners several days before the test. Our math series comes with a version "A" and "B" of the chapter test.
