I am tutoring a fourth grade little girl. She is doing great, but she still reads "th" for "wh" at the beginning of words. She does it almost everytime she reads. If I call the word, she can spell it just fine. There is a history of dyslexia in the family.
Has anyone ever seen this and what did you do to help the child? Thanks

I am wondering where I can find a suggested time frame (day to day) for what concepts we are covering in Math. For eample, the topic of Fractions. Fractions covers a lot of different subtopics. I was wondering how many days should be spent of each topic. I have a daily nine week planner, but am wondering how to map it out. Thanks, Tom
Just wondering what test your district has you using to decide on reading levels? We presently use F & P and the classroom teachers in third and higher hate it - we feel that it gives an inflated level. We were looking for suggestions from others.

LSNational geographic. Our edition was written for Florida's standards so in that respect I really like it. We still pull other resources but all in all it is nice to have!

What do you think about the changes made by the Common Core? Do you think it might push for higher expectations in english coursework?
FYI: I'm at the beginning of my credential program, learning something new everyday.

You can also ask your text book company to send out a scope and sequence for their updated books. It will at least give you an idea.
Hope that helps
