Would anyone be interested in a gathering in GA in June? Email me if interested. I have available the first two weeks in June and the last week in June. Also, I'm thinking either Atlanta, there is so much to do there...CNN, Braves, World of Coke, Underground, Shopping, 6 flags, Stone Mountain, etc. or Savannah, very picturesque there and close to ocean...I love them both...what dates and places sound good to you?
chippy, I might be able to make a GA gathering. My mom is talking about moving out here, so her time table is going to drive things . . .

Hi all. Well we are half way through March, and July will be here before we know it. If you know what hotel, or place that you are staying at please email me or Manatee. We are going to compile a list to give out at the gathering, so every knows where everyone is. This will help us make sure that all of you are safe and sound, and we can also give subway or bus route maps as needed that pertain to the area you are staying in. Can't wait to meet all of you. here are 2 reasonable hotels that still have rooms for the gathering dates and a link to other hotels also reasonable still available for the nyc gathering dates. i have never stayed in them but the reviews are good...you can read them yourself. be SURE do not pick one in outer borough...that is why i put the midtown manhattan post link.the first 2 hotels are a good location.and the 3rd link also good locations.see below

I have my lodging taken care of, will stay in Staten Island with friends, my worry is traveling to and from SI to NYC and back on my own!!!!!!! Specially on Saturday night! I won't get there for friday (I don't think anyway) I have reservations about walking the city and taking transport on my own in the big apple. Fizzy
Hey...The plans are coming right along!!! Here is my first tenative plans...and am needing input from you all of course...please join us for as little or much as you can
Thurs 6/2: meet for lunch check into rooms Go to Stone Mountain Park; eat there, stay for Laser show
Friday 6/3, breakfast Go to downtown area: Underground, World of coke, CNN tour, Music at Noon at Centennial Park; High Museum, etc.
Supper
After supper is where I need input. I checked into the Menopause musical...and it does look hilarious...but the tickets will be about $45 after all the charges...and that sounded steep to me...but I'm certainly game if you are!!
Other Friday night ideas: there are two comedy clubs One is called Punchline, the comedian that night is Tom Rhodes; tickets are $14. The other is Funny Farm; comedian is Robert Kelly, tickets are $10. I have not heard of either of these comedians..have you?
Sat 6/4. Breakfast and shopping at Lenox?
I tried to find a tea room, but couldn't find one that sounded like what we were looking for.
Jennifer, I LOVE the idea of the t shirts!! Let me know when you know something about that.
Jules is checking into getting us discount motel rates at the motel where her daughter works.
Let me know what you think so far and your input!!!
I've been checking on motels and sorry that I haven't gotten it posted. I've been fighting a spring cold. I'll put the information on the board this weekend. Jules/GA

I ended up getting us rooms held at the Jameson Inn in Conyers. The price is $62 + tax. They are holding some 2 double bed rooms and some king bed rooms for us. The phone number is 770-760-1230. Tell them you want the rooms with teachers.net. Please call them ASAP I'm not sure how long they will hold the rooms for us.
If you are planning on coming to the Menopause the Musical that Friday night June 3, will you please email me. I want to call them and see if they can hold some tickets for us and need to give them a number.
Dubya, would you like me to pick you up at the Airport that Thurs?
Jules has a van so lots of us can ride together to the activities!!!
