Yep. I've been sucked in. I have been thoroughly enjoying the show, character, story, costumes, scenery, the accents.

Now I have just watched one of my favorite characters die! That stupid prig of a doctor!

magnolia Yes, I think I read elsewhere a critical reference to E. Govern's acting in that part- maybe the word "simpering"? That bit of the show - her character's behavior and personality is not done well...but then she will occasionally show character, strength, backbone. P.S. I didn't mean to suggest that Louisa take all
responsibility for the pregnancy, just her share.

On the other hand, she said she had intended to get him
drunk and "seduce" him - her words. Then she expected to
carry on her job the same as before and dump her child off
on almost anyone.

Kathleen The creators sound open and eager to work together on some form of Downton Abbey after the final season wraps up. That's good news, but it would have to include Violet and Isobel!
